Which artists old or new inspire you the most?
Artists like Bon Iver, Lewis Watson and Ben Howard, and more recently Vancouver Sleep Clinic have probably inspired my musical ambitions more than anyone else – whenever I hear their music, it just fills me with ideas and a desire to recreate whatever I’m feeling.

When you start working on a new idea or song what is the first thing you do to kick-start the idea?
I always experiment with different work flows of how I write, but the majority of the songs that I actually consider ‘finished’ or ‘good enough’ are all started as soon as I have the idea and then I just play it through, adding bits on until about 20 minutes later I have the song. I usually like these ones the most as its always whatever has naturally come to mind, it feels less forced to me.

Are there any producers or artists you would love to collaborate with?
To work with Justin Vernon, the man behind Bon Iver, is probably my ideal and dream goal.

What is your go-to track of the moment?
A song called Give Me Life from Lewis Watson’s second album Midnight is my current inspirational song, and Lung by Vancouver Sleep Clinic is the one that soothes and completely relaxes me.

Do you prefer performing live or studio recording?
I have always preferred performing live to studio recording. I’ve performed since a really young age so it just feels so much more natural to me.

Are you heading to or performing at any festivals this year?
There are no plans to be playing at any festivals this year.

What’s next for you this year?
My main aim is to find a backing band to play with, and also help achieve the kind of sounds and vibes I search for when writing.

Who are your style icons and why?
I don’t necessarily have any style icons, I’ve always just gone for what feels me and not based on anyone else.

What’s your go-to item of clothing for any stage performance?
T-shirt and jeans, whatever is comfortable and feels the most relaxed for me.

Why are you excited to perform at Bicester Village?
I love performing music to as many people as I can and having spent a few days at Bicester Village where there has been a live music event, I’ve always found there to be a great atmosphere. It always seemed like something I’d love to take part in.
